Kambi and Rush Street Interactive (RSI) First Partnered Up in 2018

The very prominent sports betting technology provider Kambi Group has revealed that it has agreed to an extension of its North America-facing partnership together with online sports betting and casino operator Rush Street Interactive (RSI).

As part of the deal extension, Kambi will go on providing its sportsbook engine technology to RSI’s sports betting operations in 15 states across the United States, as well as its presence in territories such as Canada, Colombia, and Mexico.

Kambi initially partnered with RSI in 2018 following the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) in the US and has worked together with the operator during its expansion into a broad range of markets.

Kambi’s Stock Prices Down 10.6% in Early January 2023

To mark the news, Kambi chief executive and co-founder Kristian Nylén emphasized how Rush Street Interactive (RSI) was the very first American operator which Kambi joined up with following the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992:

“RSI was the first US-based operator we partnered with post-PASPA, and it has been fantastic to witness RSI become one of the leading online gaming players in the Americas.”Kristian Nylén, Chief Executive and Co-Founder, Kambi Group, Press Release

Nylén went on to note how the extension of the two’s partnership will only continue to benefit RSI’s overall operations, envisioning a bright future ahead for the two partners:

“This contract extension ensures Kambi’s sportsbook will continue to complement RSI’s proprietary technology and platform, which together will provide the basis for even greater success in the future.”

News of the partnership renewal arrives at a fairly crucial moment for Kambi, given how the operator experienced a notable drop in its share price in early January 2022 following the news that sports apparel giant Fanatics will migrate over to Amelco’s source code to use when powering its sports betting product. Kambi is certainly feeling the burn here, as it had previously been named as a possible technology partner of Fanatics – even leading the bid for a New York sports betting license that included Fanatics.

Kambi’s application programming interface (APIs) and other powerful marketing tools will also be employed in order to help promote the gaming brand on LMG’s very-own Teleonce television network in Puerto Rico.

With our top-rated Teleonce television network providing unlimited marketing and our key retail relationships, we are very confident that ApuestaPR will be the number one sports betting platform in Puerto Rico.”

Meanwhile, Kambi co-founder Kristian Nylén very much believes that LMGG will be highly successful in Puerto Rico:

By leveraging Kambi’s enhanced empowerment and marketing tools, alongside its popular Teleonce brand, LMG Gaming will be able to reach its target audience and drive player engagement through a bespoke betting experience.”
